AJ cautiously peeks inside the open doorframe of an old building. Sunlight dapples through the crumbling roof of the lobby of an old hotel. No signs of movement, so he enters and regards the room.
The dust cakes every surface as the wind whistles through holes in the walls.
AJ's <b>OBJECTIVE</b> is to get to the roof of this hotel, and find a way to get to the other side of a walker infested street. But first, he'll have to find a way upstairs.

AJ looks at the scattered pieces of paper... and sees a piece with still legible numbers on it.

AJ wipes his brow and stows the pry bar. As he does, he hears the unmistakeable *click* of a revolver.
SCAVENGER: Turn around. Slowly.
[[Turn around slowly.]] <<if $seenwalker is false>>AJ turns and looks down a short hallway, which like the others, also quickly devolves into rubble and madness. No going that way.
But ahead of him, there's what looks like a closet with a still functioning door.
But right when AJ approaches, he hears from the rubble at the end of the hall, the very, very faint noise of a walker wheezing.
AJ carefully peeks around a small overturned table, and sees half a walker sticking out from under the rubble, grasping in vain at the carpet long torn off the floor by its nails.
It barely seems to notice AJ, but when he gets just a little closer it suddenly SNAPS at him, then seems to lose energy and flops down to the floor.
It's definetly trapped, but it's still dangerous if you ever like, tripped over it. However, only AJ knows where it's hidden.
What should AJ do?

SCAVENGER: No sudden moves yeah? Killing a kid... I'd prefer not to.
SCAVENGER: But if I have to, I will.
He stops, looking at AJ carefully. His eyes dart to the surrounding hallways.
SCAVENGER: You alone?

The scavenger looks like he's seen a ghost.

SCAVENGER: Well I'll be. That might be the best haul I've had in months.

As he stands in the doorframe, we hear him give a small gasp.
SCAVENGER: Sally. Shit.. it's really her.
AJ: You know her?
SCAVENGER: Yeah. I didn't know what happened...
SCAVENGER: She was my...
He rubs his hand over his face.
SCAVENGER: I need a minute, okay?

He pauses for a second, breathing hard and listens.
He wasn't followed.
Uneasy, AJ continues on his quest.

He gives on lingering look back at the fate of the lovers, and then continues on his quest.

The walker grabs the Scavenger and CHOMPS down onto his arm. He freaks and shoots the walker off him.
He stands, and looks at his bite. He looks at AJ, fury in his eyes.
SCAVENGER: Well. Good fucking job.
He whips his gun at AJ and fires - CLICK. AJ startles. The Scavenger's eyes go wide.
SCAVENGER: You're shitting me.
He looks at his empty gun.
SCAVENGER: Look... just fucking leave.
SCAVENGER: I found Sally. And... I guess that's the end of it.
SCAVENGER: I don't need your stuff now.
SCAVENGER: Get lost.
He walks sadly over to Sally and just looks at her.

AJ: If you need it.

AJ leaves, the Scavenger doesn't follow.
As AJ gets back to the elevator shaft, he hears a gunshot.
He pauses. Then continues on his quest up the elevator.

AJ pauses for a moment, brows furrowed. He leaves.
